MegaM, Philips TV and UniqCast join forces to deliver premium TV Service for cable operators
MegaM TV Service, powered by UniqCast, Awarded as the Best User Experience App on Philips Android TV in Adriatic Region for 2018.
MegaM is offering telephony services to many cable operators in Slovenia and they wanted to extend it with the OTT TV service. Goal was to launch TV service with premium user experience, providing Live TV and Catch Up TV services on STB, PC and mobile devices, in order to sell the service to existing cable operators as well as to attract new ones.
Most important decision criteria during the selection process were user experience of the client applications, platform with middleware and streaming from single vendor and a vendor that was willing to listen and adapt to MegaM technical and business requirements. Final solution was based on UniqCast TV platform, that provides content and subscriber management, streaming and client applications for Android STB, Android based TV, PC and mobile devices with multi operator support and all expected features.

In order to reduce number of devices in the living room, further improve user experience and optimize investment per each subscriber, MegaM offered service with UniqCast client app on the Philips Android TV models.
