UniqCast Helps Teleing to Extend Cable TV Service with Interactive TV and Multiscreen Experience
Teleing, an established cable operator in Slovenia, successfully launched UniqCast Interactive TV platform with Catch Up TV and multiscreen experience.
Teleing was looking how to extend the service for their existing cable customers in order to keep the edge on the competitive TV market. Natural decision was to introduce Catch Up TV service on mobile devices and enable viewers to watch TV anytime, anywhere. With this approach, existing subscribers got interactive TV offering with no changes on the existing cable infrastructure.
Most important decision criteria during the selection process were ability to provide turnkey solution, cost effective TV platform with middleware and streaming capabilities and future proof solution that can be easily extended with the Android based DVB-C STB devices. In addition, Teleing was looking for vendor that was willing to listen and adapt to their business model.

Project was completed on time, taking only 6 weeks from HW delivery, installation, and integration to friendly user test. Service was commercially launched 12 weeks from signing the contract.
